If I had a penny for the number of times over the last few years that clients have advised me that Thomson will no longer be sailing from Cyprus, I would be a millionaire!  The fact is that even if we had the itineraries for the next season people are adamant that they know better!

Century Travel represent Thomson Cruises in Cyprus and so we do have the facts that everyone is eager to hear and we can confirm this is correct information, not just a rumour!

This is the ship that has operated most of the Limassol sailings in the last few years and most people will be aware that this ship is quite an old one now and although much loved is going to be retired at the end of 2017 and returned to it’s owners.  The ship has been chartered for many years, but you will see it pop up again in another guise – watch this space!

What cruises will be sailing from Limassol in 2017?

We have had weekly sailings from Limassol for March and April 2017 on sale for a while now and these are proving more popular than ever before, so if you want to guarantee a cabin, now is the time to book.  We have a sailing on the 26th April from Limassol to Dubrovnik for the first time, which is getting booked up already, so again it is one to book now if you want to take the opportunity of a difference itinerary.

We will also be going on sale on 17th November 2016 with some more new itineraries!  At the end of October 2017 we will have a re-positional sailing from Dubrovnik back to Limassol and then 3 round-trip cruises from Limassol on 1st, 8th & 15th November 2017.  The itineraries will be announced on 17th November when they go on sale.

Will Thomson be cruising from Limassol in 2018?

The short answer is unfortunately no.  There are no plans to bring any of the newer larger ships to Limassol, because Thomson have a much larger market in other areas of the World.  Cyprus is a small market for cruise passengers and so for now there are no plans to come back.

We have cruised with Thomson several times and love their ships.  How can we still cruise with them in 2018?

We will still be working with Thomson Cruises as we know our clients love them and don’t want to see them go!  We will be working very closely with Thomson to create some very special packages for 2018, so that you can still cruise with them from their other ports around the World.

I don’t like to fly, are there any other cruise lines that sail from Cyprus?

We are always working with our many cruise brands to get authority for cruise embarkation from Cyprus.  Currently we have nothing for 2018, but watch this space and subscribe to our newsletters for updates on Limassol cruises.
