Riga's Old Town has an extraordinary array of historic buildings, over-sized churches, beer gardens and street cafes. In 1997 Riga’s medieval old town was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here is a fun fact, Latvia also holds the Guinness World Records today for the longest telephone conversation by a team. It was achieved by two teams of two and lasted 54 hours and 4 minutes.
